But is it Art, Cont.

The brave abortion hoaxter speaks:

Shvartz, an arts major, told the Yale Daily News: “I believe strongly that art should be a medium for politics and ideologies, not just a commodity. I think that I’m creating a project that lives up to the standard of what art is supposed to be.”

Oh brother. It just keeps getting worse. Is this the kind of drivel that passes itself off as deep thought at Yale? People were spouting this kind of bland, meaningless shit when I was in University a million years ago. It was bullshit then and it’s bullshit now. What does she mean by art being “just a commodity”. Is this twit seriously suggesting that politics and ideology have never been a part of the landscape of art until she came along to liberate art from the shackles of evil western consumerism? How far does someone have to have their head up their ass to believe that?

I actually had more respect for her when I though the  whole abortion show thing was real. Now she’s just exposed herself as a dime-a-dozen art studies theorist, trained to spout tedious 30-year-old  postmodernist psychobabble. Fail.
